2013 NASCAR Ford Fusion Design

Now that the football season is over it is time to get the NASCAR season started! Ford has been preparing too with the Ford Fusion that will hit the track for 2012 and 2013.

The NASCAR Fusion will be a look-a-like of the real life street version for the Fusion like at Schmit Bros. Ford in Saukville, WI.

Ford hopes to "signify a major return to auto manufacturer identity in the sport." They also wish to have those fans watching identify the vehicles in question. Making a racecar that looks similar to a real Fusion might very well translate into sales for said vehicle.1

In 2007 the NASCAR vehicles took on may new safety features in the race ready rides. All of the internal features and design will remain the same for future Ford racing models and the out shell is what will make the car look like the production model.

This is not the only car Ford has decided to modify for NASCAR and other major championship racing. The Ford Mustang body has been used in various Cup series events.
