2012 Ford Explorer Delivers Best-In-Class Fuel Economy

Ford revolutionized the Explorer with its 2011 model, taking it from okay to "North American Truck of the Year". Featuring a more sophisticate silhouette and suite of advanced technology features such as MyFord Touch, Terrain Management System, inflatable rear safety belts, BLIS with cross traffic alert, and active park assist, it has realized nearly twice as many sales as the 2010 model.

Ford Adding 40 MPG Vehicles

Four vehicles in Ford's upcoming 2011 line up will achieve 40 miles per gallon, more than any other automaker. "We are bringing customers the most fuel-efficient product portfolio in Ford's 107-year history, and customers are taking notice," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development.

Three models already reach at least 40 mpg for the 2011 line up - Fiesta SE (40 mpg highway), Fusion hybrid (41 mpg city) and the all-new 2012 Focus (40 mpg). In addition, other, more powerful Ford models come with great fuel economy ratings:
